Violent Elegance

Found Violent Elegance through Addicteed and I'm thrilled. You know what they say, "less is more"? Well in this case it's much more! Simple one color designs with geometric shapes prove that you don't have to put a complicated extra detailed design to make a striking shirt. I like people that dare to do exactly that. Shirts are hand-printed silkscreen on American Apparel and cost €29 (yep, that's Euros).

DBH Sale

Lately, it's been one sale after the other. I'm loosing track! Shirts start from $12 at DBH sale.

New YBW Tees

I reviewed Yellow Black & White back in July of 2008 and now they're back with a couple of new shirts. As always the main theme of these shirts is color and cool fonts, and did I say color? According to YBW folks, the quality of the print is absolutely superior than any previous line and also, there's a custom YBW label on the inside, instead of a tag.

How Awesome is this Shirt?

I would say daVinci meets Apple! Designed by artist Kevin Tong, iSteamPhone "captures the invention of daVinci, the imagination of H.G. Wells, and the brilliance of Jonathan Ive." I love my iPhone and I'm fascinated by daVinci's art and legendary personality so I'm buying this shirt for sure. Just the nostalgia of my childhood (my mother was a big fan of daVinci's art) combined with the thrill of having an iPhone, is enough to bring tears in my eyes (not really but you get the point).

Hat tip to Coty Gonzales for the find.

WilloToons 50% off Sale

By now, you probably know that I'm a complete sucker for glow-in-the-dark shirts, so today when I received an email from Chad, claiming that he created a colored glow-in-the-dark shirt, I was more than eager to check it out. Until now I thought there was only green phosphorescent ink. If you think about it, how many times have we seen a glow-in-the-dark shirt and wished that the glow was red or blue? I know I have, for this shirt. To be honest, I haven't seen the shirt itself and the picture does no justice, but think about the possibilities...the possibilities people! This can open a whole new world of designs, the night will no longer be the same, Halloween will have a new meaning! Ok, maybe I exaggerate a little, but you get the point... You can pick up the shirt at ChadTshirts for $24 (and free shipping), it's a pretty simple straight forward shirt designed by Jay Fabares, whose background is obviously in animation.

I had a blast with the new technique because it's a different world with the different glowing colors. Everybody has seen the glowing green color (almost sick of it, really) but, seeing glowing red for the first time is really something! add to it - blue, yellow, white... When I was first fooling around with it, even the (glowing) mistakes were absolutely fantastic!

Everything is 50% off at Terratag

Plus all orders over £50 are entered in to a competition to win a Sony PSP. Let me put it this way, if it comes from Europe it better be 50% off!

I Survived...

I have no words for this shirt. Print Liberation I love you!

One Man Band Shirts

It was back in June of 2007 that I received an email from Sam about his one and only shirt and I promised I would do a write up. His shirt was about Facebook stating that "Facebook is more addictive than crack",of course back then I hadn't realized how addictive Facebook was (ask me now) and I kind of forgot about the whole thing altogether. Time passed and I lost track of him and his shirt, until today that I received a message in my Facebook inbox and what do you know? The once Facebook T-shirt has become One Man Band Shirts and with lots of designs featuring mostly simple, cool slogans similar to that first one and looking just great! So those of you to whom I've promised a review and haven't delivered yet, keep that in mind and don't loose hope; I might write about your site in two years from now! (hopefully not)

I more or less said everything in the title, but anyway, Krudmart has a brand new look. This is something that they've been working on for quite sometime with a lot of setbacks and false announcements, but it looks like now it's finally there, they do have a new face. And to celebrate the launch of the new website they offer a coupon that will save you 30% off your order even on sale items. Use code coldsnap at checkout. Also, all US orders over $50 will get free Priority Mail shipping.

T-shirt Hell will be no More

I'm really shocked to hear that T-shirt Hell will be closing down on February 10. I don't think I've ever bought a single shirt from T-shirt Hell and I'm pretty sure most people think they're fucking assholes but on the other hand I always though that there's place for this kind of shirts in the market. The fact is that these slogans were supposed to be ironic and social commentary gone too far. To be honest, I kind of liked the fact that these guys had the guts to print stuff that made you feel uncomfortable and say "this is so wrong" and even though you might think that they're closing down because no one would ever wear a shirt that says "Slavery gets things done", think again. Here's some excerpts from the goodbye message of T-shirt Hell creator , Sunshine Megatron:

No, I'm not selling out to some douchebag corporate entity. No, we're not being sued by any of the over 40 companies that have sent us cease and desists over the years. No, I'm not going to jail (yet) and no, it's not because of the economy. Although, the recent dip in sales certainly does make the idea easier to accept, even though we still sell over 3000 shirts a week.

I started this company in June of 2001, nearly 8 years ago, with the intention of producing the best satirical, the most controversial, the funniest t-shirts on the internet. Generally speaking, I feel I've accomplished that and am satisfied with what we've put out. I made a shitload of dough along the way. I've done cocaine off the better body parts of supermodels. I've even raped and killed a mountain panda in the hills of Shaanxi. But these perks are besides the point.
...
Anyway, rather than cater to the masses, I'm just going to stop making shirts. It's not enjoyable anymore and I have enough money to move on to something more rewarding. Maybe I'll start my own hooker farm or maybe I'll practice sleeping. Whatever I decide to do, it will be better than this.

To read the whole goodbye message click here. Goodbye T-shirt Hell, I'm pretty sure you're going to burn in hell and you like it...
Thanks to T-Shirt Guy's T-Shirt Blog for the tip.

Wow, this is what I call momentum! Not only Olechka had her design printed in yesterday's TeeFury shirt but also, won the Uneetee $1500 Weekly Design Contest with her design Juicy. Less than two days ago, I saw that design at Olechka's webpage and thought it would make a great shirt and here it is. I love the colors and the way they blend with the pencil work, the placement, the size of the print is just perfect and even more perfect is the $12 price tag! If you dig her style and you're interested in more of her designs on products check out her page at RedBubble.

Christian Lander, the author of Stuff White People Like has teamed up with FatAmerican.tv to create and sell this shirt, the profits of which will go to Children of the Night, an organization dedicated to rescuing children between the ages of 11 and 17 who are forced to prostitute on the streets for food to eat and a place to sleep. So far they have managed to raise $3,600 (!) and going strong. The shirt itself is pretty good and damn witty, it features things from the list of stuff White people like, such as Obama, having black friends, apple products, bicycles, awareness, etc. (of course they couldn't leave out t-shirts). But the best is that when the lights go off all these things glow-in-the-dark! The shirt is available in two colors and costs $20 bucks.

The latest limited edition t-shirts by Tasty Tees feature the work of artist Michael Ricardo Andreev and will be available for pre-order for 33% less than original price.

Spare in construction and in color, Andreev’s work speaks to Europe’s and the U.S.’s tangled relationships to African-American and Afro-Caribbean cultures. The work, according to Andreev, functions as allegory, and the paintings, he has said, “create an emotional dialogue within the classical realm of a collective unconscious.”

Brooklyn-based Andreev has exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art and Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. His work can be found in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art (New York).

Fragile by TeeFury (again!)

This blog starts to look like an add for TeeFury but I couldn't resist posting back to back about it. Today's $9 shirt is Fragile by artist Olechka and is just amazing! You only have less than 9 hours to order it and then it's gone for ever...

Changing the Template

So the time has come and I'm ready to launch a new and much more good looking template for T-shirts Around the Internet. The next couple of days things might be missing and I'll be tweaking things here and there, so please bear with me since I'm just a girl who like shirts and nothing more ;-) I hope you guys enjoy the new look...

My Own World at TeeFury

What we really are is a combination of our surroundings and our dreams. Kmeleon drew his own world consisted of mountains, seas, animals, and cities (well ok, a little booze too) and now you can get it on a wonderful tee by TeeFury. The more you look into this design the more details you discover. I'm pretty sure this t-shirt will be a best seller at TeeFury. I just hope we see more designs from this amazing artist (obviously I'm his "groupie"). Love it! love it! love it! It'll become mine...

YEL New Collection

The new collection by Your Eyes Lie is consisted by 99 new prints (some are reprints, I think) and as get it they add more every now and then. Since they added more colorways, their deisgns have been more impressive than ever, sticking to the typical tradition of YEL of taking something familiar and adding a twist on it. Their shirts are always bold, always provocative and the fabric quality is just amazing. One of my favorite designs (although I can't explain why) is Gingerbeard, which I think the Beard guy will appreciate too.

I love this kind of shit and when it's sponsored by Threadless it has to be super cool! I'm not going to tire you with details, here's the blurb:

Less Formal from GlennzTees

I'm cracking up with this new design by GlennzTees! I love penguins (and who doesn't really?), I think they're the funniest and cutest creatures on earth and now, apparently, they're going casual. It's time for them to move on from their formal wear to something more... outdoorsy. I also love the tattoo reading "born to fly", absolutely hilarious...

Well, history has shown that if it's designed by humans it can't be perfect but DBH claims that they created the perfect tee. It's a super soft 50/50 Cotton-Poly Blend shirt and they've already printed some of their last designs on it. I'm really curious to try it, because I haven't been satisfied with the DBH shirts. They tend to wear out significantly and shrink and lose their form. So I'm kind of excited to check out the "perfect tee"; all I need now is the perfect design...

Yeti-bama Tee, Go-Bama!

In order to celebrate the Inauguration Gama-Go has re-released the Yeti-bama Tee in two colors in limited quantities. I thought that's a funny shirt and can be yours for $28 bucks. Gama-go has lots of yeti related products so if you're into yetis (which I know most of you freaks are) go for it.

Quick note to let you know that Lowrider Teeshirt is offering 50% off selected items for a limited time only. This is a great chance to get some of these shirts for as low as $12. Nice...

The way it is...

I know it's the Inauguration and all and I hate to be a party pooper but it's my nature to be a pragmatist (not always though, only when I want to be a party pooper). Although I love Obama being the 44th President of United States of America and I couldn't see any other better choice for the job, I hate to remind you all that he's still a politician (and I mean this with all the negative connotations of the word). Ironically enough, a designer with the nickname b_positive created this shirt at Cosmic Soda! I'm sorry but that's the way it is...

Huge Arkaik "ARIZONA PRIDE" Sale

Bang Bang's £5 Sale Extended

The title says it all: Bang Bang's £5 Sale is extended until Jan 29th. Sweet!

Ink-Hound is a relatively new design submission/voting site that's been doing the rounds lately. The winning design runs on limited edition sale and is available for one week only for $12 bucks (and $30 for the hoodies). They also run a separate voting for hats, which sounds interesting. The artists get $2 per item sold and their rights back at the end of the selling period. Also, like every nice t-shirt brand they give to charity and use organic materials. Now, most of this kind of sites, when they start, suffer from lack of good submissions and Ink-Hound is not an exception to that. I find it positive that some well known artists like wotto, j3concepts, and a.mar.illo have joined but still I think their designs are not their best ones. Ok, maybe j3concepts' design which is for sale right now is not that bad but I wouldn't buy it. Overall, the site's simple look feels weak and uninteresting (like my template). The only part that I found truly different and exciting is the hats section but this is not really my field. All I'm saying is there's plenty of room for improvement and I'm positive that the site will get bigger and better and I'm keeping an eye on it.

Vintage Vantage's Top Shelf Sale

Speaking about vintage shirts, did you know that Vintage Vantage had a whole page of original vintage shirts? Well, I just found out; it's called Top Shelf and features original shirts from the 70s and 80s. Luckily for me (and you), until next Wednesday all these one of a kind shirts will be half off! Ok, some might cost a few hundred dollars but most of them are very well priced...

Her Hair Oh Her Hair...

Although I can't see many men wearing this one, Her Hair makes an ideal girly shirt. I was actually quite surprise to see it winning in Threadless, I hadn't seen similar style winning for a long time. The red only print wraps around the shirt going not only all over the front but also all over the back. I file Her Hair under "impressive shirts."

Super Recession Sale at MNKR
