I hate following all the trends but at the end of the day in some cases it's really hard not to do so. (To my defense, I at least resisted featuring any Kanye West shirt) So after MJ's death tens of designs with his face started popping out all over the internet (classic), but I thought I had paid my tribute by posting this shirt and there was no need for any more. Then I stumbled upon Moonwalker (did that sound weird?) by Personal Advisory (warning: site with music) and I loved it! So is it too late to feature an MJ shirt? Are you guys over the trend already and if yes, does it matter? I hope we can still enjoy a great MJ shirt and not think about the buzz.

3 Days Left for This Week's Teextile Shirts
Posted by Katrina at 6:58 PM Labels: $12 tees , teextile
I've been wanting to feature some Teextile shirts for quite some time now but, you know me (or not), I forget easily. Besides, Teextile tees are available for one week only and then are gone for ever, so it's easy to lose track. Too many shirts so little time! So anyway, this was a good week for Teextile, since most of the designs were really really good. I chose to show you here two of them (my favorite), Death Encounter which will be on sale for $12 for just 2 more hours (then will be $15) and Monsters Destroying a City tomorrow's $12 tee. All five shirts will only be available for purchase until Sunday evening. Then it's a new week again!
Well, I used to believe not! But over the course of this blog I found myself featuring many skull designs that were absolutely beautiful. Today Andy from HYA featured this design from Public Domain, which left me speechless. Other themes might come and go but skulls seam to always be a source of inspiration and probably a creative challenge. Maybe is something existential about them or there's just something in the water. I wouldn't know... So I guess the question isn't if skulls are cool again but rather were they ever not cool?
Btw, Public Domain is running a "buy two get a third one for free" sale and there are many good shirts to choose from.

Rise Laboratories
Posted by Katrina at 12:01 PM Labels: cartoony shirts , cute t-shirts , new t-shirt brand , rise laboratories
Rise Laboratories is the work of a single man, web designer Michael Anthony, who designs and produces all the shirts. I found all Rise Laboratories shirts to be extremely cute, cartoony, colorful, and absolutely wearable. The Bear Trap is definitely my favorite of them all, there's something funny about the way she (it's a she, I know) sips her soda. All shirts are made of 100% ringspun cotton, which feels much softer, and cost a fair $19 (plus shipping). I have to worn you though, the site is in flash (many people hate flash sites) and it has music (which you can disable).

Sales Sales Sales and...More Sales!
Posted by Katrina at 8:07 PM Labels: big fluff , brownbread , sale event , Vintage Vantage
It's kind of hard to keep up with all these sale that's been going around lately. That's why I decided to combine some in one post. So, BrownBread is selling every tee in the store for £5.00 only! This sale will last until the end of the month.

The other cool sale event comes from our dear Vintage Vantage who makes room for the new line and retires 22 older shirts, now sold for $10 each. Once they're gone, they're gone for good. Oh, just hit me, you can also use the "tshirtsaround" coupon for an extra 21% off!

And finally, Big Fluff is having a "buy one get one free" type of sale for all its newsletter subscribers. The free t-shirt will be a random shirt in the same size as the one you ordered and will be sent automatically with your purchase. Keep in mind that the free shirt might be an older design not even shown in the store. All you have to do is to subscribe to their newsletter. Offer ends on October 1st.
The Spacetime Collection by Poketo
Posted by Katrina at 6:55 PM Labels: artists series , new collection , poketo
The Spacetime Collection is the new Poketo line of products designed by four top artists, Cody Hudson, Mike Perry, Damien Correll, and last but not least Andy Miller. Each one of them created three different products, a wall cling, a wallet, and of course a t-shirt. The collection was curated by Poketo in collaboration with Kitsune Noir. The theme of space and time must be really cool to work on and the outcome is absolutely fantastic as you can see. These shirts will cost you a fair $28 (plus whatever shipping) and, as always, you can check out the sale section you cheap @$#$@.

New from Designgive
Posted by Katrina at 12:23 AM Labels: Designgive , new designs , Skull t-shirt , t-shirts for charity
Designgive has some new designs out (and some reprints) that are just fantastic. I'm a big fan of Designgive's shirts, they always have a strong social message and they're created by some unique artists who actually donated their art. One of my favorite shirts is Africa Now that features an Africa shaped image consisted of hundred illustrations of Africa's current issues. Africa Now is not just visually great but mentally too. It can be the starting point for a good conversation! Another one of my favorite designs is Faunis Taxis by Paul Macgregor who writes "Although a skull usually depicts death, it can also be arranged into a mosaic of beauty using natures creations." The design features a skull made out of different wild animals, a symbol of the cycle of life. Designgive shirts will cost you $19 (plus shipping) and part of the proceeds will benefit a charity of your choice.

The Return of the Resales
Posted by Katrina at 12:01 AM Labels: 50% off , discount coupon , Tolky Monkys
When last year the Tolky Monkys sent the Resales, Sally and Sally, back home, they thought that these naughty twins would never come again to make a visit. They were wrong. Surprisingly, they have knocked at their door and in only 10 minutes they have destroyed the whole studio. How naive they were...
After that, they have created for us a special coupon with a 50% off. You can use it to buy any item of their on-line store except posters and metro-wallets: boys t-shirts, girls t-shirts, hoodies and polos. You have from Wednesday 23rd till Thursday 1st of October to use this coupon: RETSHIRTAROUND. But be quick, only the first 5 readers will take advantage of it. Remember that posters and metro-wallets are not included.
Enjoy it!!
Coma And Cotton Shirts
Posted by Katrina at 9:50 AM Labels: Coma And Cotton , etsy finds , new t-shirt brand
I can't even remember how I came to find this etsy store called Coma and Cotton but, the important thing is that I did. Their extremely short store discription reads "california hand made psychedelic." No kidding, I wouldn't have guessed... Oh wait, is that a tee with tens of mushrooms on it? So anyway, Coma and Cotton designs are influenced by Native American culture and art, and all things psychedelic. The shirts feature one-color designs on different qualities of shirts and prices range between $25-$26. Please make sure, when you buy anything from etsy.com, to check with the seller before completing your purchase. Sometimes what you get on the mail it's not what you see on the photos, colors and sizes change and products go out of stock.

Jay-Z Wearing a Simply Complicated Shirt?
Posted by Katrina at 9:41 AM Labels: Global View shirt , Jay-Z , Simply Complicated
I'm not the celebrity type of person and I couldn't care less for what they wear. But when you see Jay-Z sporting a Simply Complicated shirt, it's kind of a big deal! I can only imaging the excitement of these guys when they saw these photos (and video) of Jay-Z rocking their Global View t-shirt on stage at Wembley. To see more pictures and the video visit SC blog and if you decide to buy the shirt or anything else from that store you can always use TSHIRTSAROUND code to get a fat 25% off discount.
New Das Monk Designs
Posted by Katrina at 6:01 AM Labels: 15% off , das monk , discount coupon , new line
Das Monk shirts fall into this rare category of "luxury shirts" that I allow to myself. These shirts are so different and unique that simply I don't mind paying the extra buck. Just a few hours ago, Das Monk came out with a new line of designs featuring the work of some really talented up-n-coming artists from around the world. The designs that really stick out (for me) are Oliver's Awake by Lydia Ortiz, Space Face by Marc Hendrick, and Ogre by Evan Meister. This shirts would normally cost you 59.95 AUD (which roughly translates to 52 USD) plus shipping but, if you use code DASMONKBESTIES at the checkout you'll save a fair 15% off your cart.

Well my friends, your eyes don't lie; this is one week sale event at YEL, where you can find some badass shirts for as low as £11.
A Piece of Text That Looks Good...
Posted by Katrina at 11:08 AM Labels: typography designs , Typotheque
...but doesn't say anything! It's funny, the more typography designs I see the more I love them (this is not how it usually works with me). This time it's a design from Typotheque, a site that is primarily a font foundry and design studio that also sells some really good shirts. "A piece of text" is written with Irma fonts mixing the positive and negative spaces of letters, which I think is a brilliant idea because the image created supports the text. It's printed on American Apparel organic Fine Jersey T-Shirts and will cost you €29 (check shipping costs here).

In other news, I have a couple of coupons to help you go through this lazy Sunday. Use code MOSHPITLOL to save 20% off your order at Kill Brand and code TSHIRTSAROUND to save 25% off at Simply Complicated Apparel (this code will always be at the sidebar under the "Coupons" section).

Happy Day is the newest creation of artist Slawek Kasolka, the man who also did this other amazing design. I'm totally thrilled with this shirt because it's the perfect addition to my bloody t-shirts collection. I mean who wouldn't love a blood thirsty bride, right? Happy Day is now available for pre-order at ZBQ, in several colorways, for $20.80 (which is $3 less than the usual price) until September 30th. Mention code "WEDDEDBLISS" in the "comments to seller" section of your cart for an additional 15% discount! And don't forget, all orders include free shipping.
