I thought I would say goodbye to 2009 with some humor and post this shirt from etsy store, Hawear. I Love New Year is a funny twist to the classic I heart NY shirts but in this case NY stands for New Year. This is an extremely limited edition shirt that you can actually wear every year around this time (or all year long if you are a New Year's nerd!). It's screen printed and will cost you $20.99 (plus s&h). And because we all love a nice gift this time of the year, you'll be happy to know that the fist three buyers will receive a free shopping bag to match their shirt! Happy New Year everyone!

Yeah...that name...I know...You better not read this at work! So! FuckMyShirt is a relatively new brand that comes from lake Constance in Germany and, yes, the site is in German and, no, there's no English translated version. So I would recommend, if you'd like to buy something, you first contact them by email to clear out all the details/questions you might have. So now that I'm through with all the typicalities, let me say, how cool is this brand? All the designs, created by Marius, are bold, huge, in your face, with nice bright colors and a variety of different mediums. My favorite two designs are Woah Boy and Bold, which just so happens to be Marius' favorite shirts too... These shirts sell at €29,90 (plus s&h) and they do ship internationally.
The Treewalker Secret Release Shirt

Shhh...it's The Secret Release! There are only 12 pieces available of this Treewalker shirt by Spindastry, which takes the term "limited edition" to a whole new level. And since you're at this site check out the rest of the shop and Spindustry's wonderful collection.
Devicious is brand that started in 2007, but I only heard about it like a week ago (so it qualifies for a "brand new brand" type of post). The company is run by two fine gentlemen, Matt Taylor and Micah Lindenberger, who screen print everything out of their studio in Toledo, OH. They describe their designs as "focused on the craft/indie look" with a lot of nature inspired elements. It will cost you a fair $18 (plus s&h) to get your hands on one of those goodies, but since we still believe in Santa, you can use code hohoho for a fat 25% off your entire order!!!

Royal Crush is a new brand that features the designs of artist Damon Johnson. Damon's background is in comics and graffiti and consequently his designs are bold and "in your face".
Johnson’s work has been described as urban surrealism; a melting pot of influences and art movements. His work combines pop culture references to graffiti, comics, tattoo art and skate graphics with traditional art movements including abstract expressionism, neo-expressionism, op-art and surrealism. These shirts sell at $30 a piece (plus s&h).

Once again, only good things can come out of RANDR tees, who just released the new Winter 09 series. According to RANDR winter has inspired them to use "a crisper and chilly color palette, removing complication from tones and adding bold lines". I'm setting my eyes on two designs (at least) Snake by Rob Barber and Shrine by Yehteh. The shirts are good-ol' American Apparel and will be your's for a fair $22 bucks (plus s&h). I might get in trouble giving you this nice coupon for 20% off, since it's for newsletter members only, but I'll take my chances anyway. Worst case scenario, I'm forever banned from RANDR's mailing list ;) So, here it is: type RandrMailing09 at checkout. Oh, I almost forgot! These folks give away free shirts each wednesday to fans on their Facebook fan page, so be a fan to get those sweet freebies! And as always, my proud tee hunters, I encourage you to check out da sale page where old gems can be bought for as little as $9...
Whoa! That was a long break from tshirt-sphere, but a couple of new releases from The-Affair was enough to bring me back to my blogging duty! I thought, common, you have to write about these beauties... I'm totally in love with these guys at the other side of the Atlantic, and I'm sure this time around, typography geeks will be too. "42" design is inspired by Douglas Adams'"The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy" and even if you're not into literature or Adams, you have to love all this work they put around the number 42 and how nicely they used negative space. This is why I'm digging this brand, because even if you don't care about the inspiration behind a design, it still works independently as a great design.
"42" is our first tribute to Douglas Adams’ masterpiece "The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy". Embrace his sublime answer to The Meaning of Life, the Universe and Everything in all its uncluttered glory, both as a tee and a sweat.
