Greedy Shark Show Some Mercy Please

Once upon a time, I was a chubby little girl growing up in a tiny Greek island. And although I was chubby, I was proud for one thing, I was one damn good swimmer. Being able to swim and being fearless in the deep dark waters that surround my rocky island is what gave me strength and courage. When I was swimming I was free. Until that day, that damn day that I watched Jaws! Yes, Jaws! Please don't laugh, that movie took the pleasure out of swimming for e-v-e-r! No more fun, no more freedom, no more relaxing, all gone to the fear that an evil big shark with really jagged teeth will mangle me. From that day on, I developed the certainty that someday I will die from a shark attack. I still believe it... The reason I'm taking a stroll down memory lane is because of the Greedy Shark t-shirt by Seventh Ink. It just came out and when I first saw it I cracked a smile but then the flashbacks, the cold sweat, everything came back. Thank you Seventh Ink for bringing back the nightmare!

Well to be honest, I'm not quite sure whether this is a brand new brand, but since I discovered it just last week, to me it's damn brand new! Monster Threads is based in UK but like many brands, they hire designers from all around the world who deliver some pretty cool and imaginative designs. These guys take pride in their shirts, not only in the designs but also the quality of their garments and their printing. They actually have a whole page dedicated to the quality standards of their clothing collections which includes tees, vests, singlets and hoodies.
Monster Threads isn’t fashion lead or trend dependant. We prefer to focus on creating fun, striking t-designs to make you stand out from the crowd. We’re constantly working towards creating exciting and original collections, season after season.
Unfortunately, my international hunters will not be able, at least for the moment, to get their hands on these lovely shirts, since Monster Threads doesn't ship outside Europe (and a few other countries). Nevertheless, the lucky folks who live down there, can take advantage of free postage plus a 10% off when you register to the newsletter! Want more? Check out the sale items page for some pretty good bargains!

I must probably be the last blogger in the Teesphere to write about Fuzzy Ink's Spring '10 release but hey, better late than never. There are several new things about this line, one of which is the nice printed tag on the inside back of the shirts, but most importantly the addition of the new female-exclusive Misstache Collection showcasing a number of super soft V-necks. I'm all in for these V-necks! In total the line consists of 10 new shirts in a pretty good variety of different styles from vintagy to cartoony to cute to more graphic looking designs, there's something for almost any taste. These shirts are hand screenprinted on 100% combed cotton and their price ranges between $21 to $26 (plus s&h) but if you notice my sidebar, you'll see you can save a nice 15% off your order with coupon code Around The Net (yes!). Of course the really vicious bargain hunters can also check out the Specials page where older shirts are going for just $12!

Monday Monday by SwishSwosh

I'm freelancing, so I'm not working 9-5 Monday to Friday but my dear hubby is, and every Sunday evening we always have the same drama. The mood swings, the slightly melancholic eyes, the deep sighs... you get the idea! Monday sucks! That's why I'm totally stoked about SwishSwosh's latest shirt, Monday Monday. I might just buy it for him just to see his reaction! This shirt comes in only 50 prints per size and will cost you £12.

Brand New Brand: New Standard

Based in Cincinnati, OH, New Standard brings together the talents of different artists from all around the globe (some of them featured in this blog). These guys take pride in their artists, hence the periodic table on their website, which is a representation of each artist as a unique element of the line. I thought that was such a cool idea! Also, their tagline is "Buy a shirt, pay the artist" and that's because for each shirt you buy, the artist receives a royalty. Like in the case of many similar brands, that collaborate with different artists, the artistic result can be very diverse and there's always the risk of loosing it's cohesiveness. In the case of New standard, though, they managed to keep a high level of artistic quality, while being able to offer a great variety of designs to satisfy almost every taste. Another cool thing about this brand is that they give away CDs of new indie bands with some t-shirt orders, in an effort to promote new music artists. I thought that's a nice touch too! New Standard designs are screen-printed on 100% combed ring spun cotton and will cost you $28 (plus s&h), but if you ask nicely there might be a nice little code for you to use... Buy 1, Get 1 Half Off when you type TSATIPROMO at checkout! Enjoy...

Covered in Frogs by Bruised Bear

It's this time of the year again, that most brands come out with a new line, and usually that means cleaning shelves, and that can only mean one thing: sales! So while waiting for the drop of the new Paper Root collection, why not take advantage of a fat 40% sale? This sale is good only until the new line kicks in and it's your last chance to get some of these shirts, since it's their last pressing. The magic code is SPRING40. Yeah, spring feels great already!

Seriously, how cool is Enclothe? They're consistently releasing one bad ass shirt after the other! Their latest design, Titan's Mic, is ridiculously good. It's one color design on a cranberry (cranberry!) shirt that once again mixes ancient myths with contemporary elements. The description reads:

Deep within the earth's molten core, metal and rock were forged together to form a titan of epic proportions. Never before has such a titan walked the face of the earth, never before now...
The genius behind this shirt is Aaron Allen who has already two more of his fine designs at Enclothe. Titan's Mic will be mine very soon and it could be yours too for $20 (plus s&h).

MNKR New Line Released

One after the other most brands come out with their new Spring 10 lines and it's been absolutely crazy! MNKR just released their new line including some super crop tops (for the ladies) and tank tops. The collection is heavy on photography, which I don't mind at all, and features some kick ass imagery. MNKR style at it's best! Good news, it seems like they lowered their prices a little with most shirts ranging between $26 and $30. But for the infidels out there that need a push, I have a coupon that will save you 15% off your order. This is suppose to be for Facebook fans only but I'll take my chances... Use code JUST4FANS at checkout.

Brand New Brand: GUCHAGUCHA

Based in Madrid, visual artists Eduardo Bertone (from Argentina) and Michiyo Sato a.k.a ROJI (from Japan) started a new clothing brand choosing t-shirts as their main medium of expression. GUCHAGUCHA, which is a Japanese word that refers to a state of confusion and disorder, features a collection of colorful shirts with huge prints and really crazy imagery. At this point all the designs are done by the two artists, but they're open to working with other artists/designers from around the world. These shirts are screen-printed locally in Madrid in limited runs (although I don't know the numbers) and their price ranges between €15 to €20.

Fullbleed Series 10 Now Released

As always, it's a great pleasure to welcome the new Fullbleed collection, because I know it's going to be good. Yep, Series 10 is out and is surprisingly darker than any previous line. It's not just thematically darker, Fullbleed designs always had a dark side, but this time, I noticed, the color palette has changed too. Although I've been a big fan of Fullbleed's colorful shirts, I'll probably tell you that my favorite design from this collection is a black and white image of a man diving in a coffin shaped pool, and it's called Shallow Grave. If someone listens out there (hint hint), I want this shirt! Fullbleed shirts range between $17 to $20 (plus s&h), which is pretty fair price, but if you're looking for a really really good deal, check out some older shirts that go for $12 bucks and will never go out of style!

Ardentees (or ARDT) is all about the art and the creators. The brand brings together new artists and designers from all over the world and provides a canvas for them to showcase their art. The result is an exquisite shirt collection of diverse styles, so there's something there for almost every taste. These shirts are screen printed on 100% cotton shirts and are limited to 250 pieces each. To get one for you fine collection, it will cost you a good $35 plus shipping but (there's always a but) there's a discount code for you, my vicious hunters, that will save you a nice 10% off your order! During checkout and after you register you need to click on the "discount code" link and type both Serial No.: DSC0000011 and Password: TSAROUND10, and voilà!

As stated in the title, clothing brand Cheer Up just released their new Spring/Summer 2010 Collection, which consists of four new t-shirt designs (and a jacket). Co-founders Edward Thomas and Matt Barnes asked the help of my... ahem ahem..."latest crush", illustrator/designer Keaton Henson. I completely adore the two designs that reference the Cheer Up logo, Shake Tree and Night Sky; although they use the logo, they don't feel like "logo shirts" at all. These shirts are made of 100% fine jersey cotton and will cost you a good £18 to £20 (plus s&h) to be part of your closet. I know, they're not the cheapest around, but we've seen more expensive shirts from Europe...

When Pandas Ruled the World...

Well maybe Pandas are near extinction, but I'm sure, in a parallel universe Pandas just rule the wold! This parallel universe is called Pandy Cane and their Mount Rushmore looks a lot like the one in the photo and people (and by people I mean... pandas) know it as Mount Rush-Paw. This is the new Pandy Cane shirt designed by Two Ducks Disco, it's printed at storenvy on AA white shirt, and it's currently on sale for £15.

It's cleaning time over at Validus Apparel that means one thing and one thing only: sale! Use promo SPRING to sale a nice fat 30% off your order!

The New Face of AOK

To be completely honest, I can't remember what the old Alrightok site looked like, but in any case they do have a new swell website now. Although... in my title I was mainly referring to the new line they just dropped, which is called Quietus and consists of three new designs (and some more in the making). The reason I think AOK has a new face is because these latest designs are nothing like the previous ones, the have different theme, different color palette, and different tone. Personally, I like this new AOK, I think Quietus is a dark line, more serious, more sophisticated. I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of the collection. These 100% ringspun cotton shirts are printed with direct to garment printing and will cost you $23 (domestic shipping for US included in the price), but like the good hunters that you are you should know that a little code named WANT will save you a nice 15% off anything you buy (yes, that means the older cheaper shirts too).
And before you click away, check out this cool video they released made by Team Goldie.

Prestigious Spring Break Sale!

Well, I never thought I'd use the words prestigious and spring break in the same sentence, but here I am. The one to blame is, of course, the brand Prestigious that just so happens to run a great spring break sale all week long. So my good spring break hunters, here's your chance to get this goodies for a good 20% off by using the code break20! Have fun!
Sale ends Sunday, March 21st.

Franz Tormers started as a collective design store based in Christchurch, New Zealand and run by a group of friends. After having run for some years a graphic design studio, called “OUT OF THE BLUE”, the three friends opened Franz Tormers and soon enough decided to go online. They don't just design t-shirts, they create art printed on limited edition runs of shirts (10 - 20 prints). Seriously, I so love those shirts, there's not a single shirt I wouldn't wear from this exquisite collection! These shirts are 100% cotton and screen printed at a local printer in NZ, and it will cost you between $35 to $43 to get one, which is a hell of deal considering the fact that there are only 10-20 of them ever made.

Bored of Skull T-shirts Already?

Well I haven't, but if you have, Young Lovers got you covered. These guys just came out with this amazing Skeleton Hands design proving there's more to skeletons than skulls! Damn, I just love the simplicity of this shirt and especially the black on charcoal one. Like most of Young Lovers shirts, it's a limited edition and comes with a price tag ($48 plus s&h) but that won't stop us from staring. Right?
